One Fine Day is a 1996 American romantic comedy film directed by Michael Hoffman, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and George Clooney as two single working parents, with Alex D. Linz and Mae Whitman as their children. The title comes from the 1963 song "One Fine Day" by The Chiffons. Michelle Pfeiffer served as an executive producer on this film,[1] which was made in association with her company Via Rosa Productions. Melanie Parker (Michelle Pfeiffer) is an architect and divorced single mother to son, Sammy (Alex D. Linz). Her day gets off to a bad start when she is late to drop him off at school, due to the forgetfulness of fellow single parent Jack Taylor (George Clooney), a New York Daily News reporter whose daughter, Maggie (Mae Whitman), is thrust into his care that morning by his ex-wife. The children arrive just a moment too late to go on a school field trip (a Circle Line boat cruise). Their parents are forced to accept that, on top of hectically busy schedules, they must work together that day to supervise each other's child. In their confusion of sharing a taxi, they accidentally switch cellphones, causing each of them, all morning, to receive calls intended for the other one, which they then have to relay to the right person. Melanie must make an architectural design presentation to an important client. Jack has to find a source for a scoop on the New York mayor's mob connections. Sammy causes havoc at Melanie's office with toy cars, causing her to trip and break her scale model display. Funny Games (titulada Horas de terror en Argentina y Funny Games en España) es una película austriaca del año 1997 escrita y dirigida por Michael Haneke. La cinta participó en la selección oficial del Festival de Cannes de 1997. En 2007, el director de la película hizo una versión en inglés para conseguir mercado en Estados Unidos. Anne se dirige a su casa de verano en su casa junto al lago con su marido George y su hijo de diez años Georgie para desconectar del trabajo. Poco después de instalarse, dos jóvenes llaman a la puerta para darles la bienvenida y pedirles huevos de parte de su vecina. Tras romper los huevos repetidamente, Anne empieza a sospechar que algo pasa. Más tarde, a pesar de la buena educación de ambos, George pide a ambos que abandonen su casa reiteradamente sin éxito, y éstos acaban golpeando a George con un palo de golf rompiéndole la pierna sin perder la sonrisa y los buenos modos. A partir de ahí, los jóvenes le dicen a la familia que todo se trata de un simple juego, una apuesta: le apuestan a la familia, a que al día siguiente, a las 9 de la mañana, estarán todos muertos. La trama transcurre durante esa noche y como juegan a ganar la apuesta de manera muy sádica manteniendolos secuestrados en su propia casa, incomunicados y maniatados. El final de la película muestra que no ha sido la primera familia a la que se lo han hecho y no es la ultima, puesto que empiezan el juego en otra casa. Cuando sus obras ya no reciben buenas críticas decide escribir una nueva historia. Mientras está en el parque conoce a Sylvia Llewelyn Davies y a sus hijos, Peter, Jack, George y Michael. Peter es el único de los tres al que parece no agradar James. Barrie crea una gran amistad con la familia, pero no es bien vista por su esposa Mary ni por la madre de Sylvia. El escritor y la familia pasan un magnífico verano juntos en el cual los chicos y él mismo aprenden muchas cosas juntos. Especialmente Peter, con quien J.M. Barrie crea un gran lazo de amistad, inseparable. The King of Comedy is a 1982 American satirical black comedy film directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Robert De Niro, Jerry Lewis and Sandra Bernhard.[3] Written by Paul D. Zimmerman, the film focuses on themes including celebrity worship and American media culture. 20th Century Fox released the film on February 18, 1983, in the United States,[4] though the film was released two months earlier in Iceland.[5] The film began shooting in New York on June 1, 1981, to avoid clashing with a forthcoming writers' strike,[6] and opened the Cannes Film Festival in 1983. Rupert Pupkin (Robert De Niro), a stage-door autograph hound, is an aspiring, mentally-deranged stand-up comedian unsuccessfully trying to launch his career. After meeting Jerry Langford (Jerry Lewis), a successful comedian and talk show host, Rupert believes his "big break" has finally come. He attempts to book a spot on the show but is continually rebuffed by Langford's staff and finally by Langford himself. Along the way, Rupert indulges in elaborate and obsessive fantasies in which he and Langford are colleagues and friends. Hoping to impress, Rupert invites a date, Rita, to accompany him when he decides to show up uninvited at Langford's country home. When Langford returns to his house from a golfing round, he finds Rupert and Rita settling in. Angered, he launches into a furious tirade against Rupert, telling him that his act is mediocre and that he's a lunatic who'll never amount to anything. While Jerry yells at him, Rupert continues trying to stay in his good graces, until an embarrassed Rita gets Rupert to finally leave. When the straight approach does not work, Rupert hatches a kidnapping plot with the help of Masha (Sandra Bernhard), a fellow stalker similarly obsessed with Langford. As ransom, Rupert demands that he be given the opening spot on that evening's Jerry Langford Show (guest hosted by Tony Randall), and that the show be broadcast in normal fashion. The network brass, lawyers, and the FBI agree to his demands, with the understanding that Langford will be released once the show airs. Between the taping of the show and the broadcast, Masha has her "dream date" with Langford, who is duct-taped to a chair in her parents' Manhattan townhouse. Jerry convinces her to untie him and he manages to escape. Rupert's stand-up routine is well received by the audience. In his act, he describes his troubled life (from growing up in a poor neighborhood with neglectful, alcoholic parents; to getting regularly bullied and beaten up during his adolescence) while simultaneously laughing at his circumstances. Rupert closes by confessing to the studio audience that he kidnapped Jerry Langford in order to break into show business. The audience laughs, believing it to be part of his act. Rupert responds by saying, "Tomorrow you'll know I wasn't kidding and you'll all think I'm crazy. But I figure it this way: better to be king for a night, than a schmuck for a lifetime." The movie closes with a news report of Rupert's release from prison, set to a montage of storefronts stocking his "long awaited" autobiography, King For a Night. The report informs that Rupert still considers Jerry Langford his mentor and friend and that he and his agent are currently weighing several "attractive offers", including comedy tours and a film adaptation of his memoirs. The final scene shows Rupert taking the stage for an apparent TV special with a live audience and an announcer enthusiastically introducing and praising him, leaving the viewer to decide whether it is reality or Rupert's fantasy. The dead boy's mother puts out a bounty on the shark and Amity is soon swamped with amateur hunters and fisherman hoping to cash in on the reward. A local fisherman with much experience hunting sharks, Quint, offers to hunt down the creature for a hefty fee. Soon Quint, Brody and Matt Hooper from the Oceanographic Institute are at sea hunting the Great White shark. En ese momento, al Jefe Brody se le informa de la desaparición de los buzos; Hendricks le lleva la cámara de los buzos pero al principio no le da importancia.
