Coup de torchon (también conocidia como Más allá de la justicia y Corrupción-1280 almas) es una película francesa dirigida por Bertrand Tavernier, estrenada en 1981. La cinta se rodó en la primavera de 1981 en el noroeste de Senegal, en particular en Saint-Louis y en los alredores de Louga. La cinta está basada en la novela 1280 almas del escritor estadounidense Jim Thompson. A diferencia de la novela negra de Thompson, Tavernier ubica la historia en África Occidental, tomando elementos de la novela Viaje al fin de la noche del escritor francés Louis-Ferdinand Céline. El año es 1938 y el escenario el África Occidental Francesa. Lucien Cordier es el único policía de una pequeña ciudad colonial. Le Magnifique (literally The Magnificent) is a French movie released in 1973, starring Jacqueline Bisset and Jean-Paul Belmondo. Le Magnifique is a slapstick spoof of B-series espionage movies and novels.   François Merlin (Belmondo) is a Jean Bruce type writer of pulp espionage novels (he has written 42 so far) and about half of the film plays in his imagination, where he is the world-renowned superspy "Bob Sinclar" (The name of the character is never seen written in the movie, while some people write his name "Saint-Clar" the way it is pronounced in French sounds like Sinclar.)   Christine (Jacqueline Bisset) is a sociology student who lives in Merlin's building and is interested in the novels, but in the writer's imagination she becomes Tatiana, his paramour, while the pompous and rich publisher of his novels, Pierre Charron (Vittorio Caprioli), doubles as the great villain of the spy novels, the Albanian secret services head Karpov, who in a memorable scene of the film threatens to cut off one of Tatiana's breasts..   Clasificación [ CM DVD 01008 ] Disponible en DVD, 4 Piso BJB)

Le Chat (English: The Cat) is a 1971 French-language drama film directed by Pierre Granier-Deferre and based on Georges Simenon's 1967 novel The Cat.[2]It tells a story of an elderly married couple, Julien Bouin, a former typographist, and his wife Clemence, who used to perform in a circus, who have been loathing each other for years. They hardly talk to each other in their small house, soon to be demolished. Their only form of communication being occasional notes on scraps of paper. Greffier's cat being the only one he still gives affection to, the cat becomes the object of Clemence's anger. However, they are soon to understand that they cannot live without each other. The Grand Maneuver (French: Les Grandes Manœuvres) is a 1955 French drama film written and directed by René Clair, and starring Michèle Morgan and Gérard Philipe. It was released in the United Kingdom and Ireland as Summer Manoeuvres, and in the United States under the title The Grand Maneuver. It is a romantic comedy-drama set in a French provincial town just before World War I, and it was René Clair's first film to be made in colour. Armand de la Verne, a lieutenant in the French cavalry and a notorious seducer, undertakes a bet that he will "obtain the favours" of a woman selected secretly by lot, before his company departs for its summer manoeuvres in a month's time. His target turns out to be Marie-Louise Rivière, a Parisian divorcée who runs a milliner's shop, and who is also being courted by the serious and respectable Victor Duverger. Marie Louise's growing attraction towards Armand is tempered by her discoveries about his reputation, while Armand's calculated strategy become undermined by his genuine emotions. A subplot follows the parallel but simpler courtship of Armand's friend and fellow officer Félix and Lucie, the young daughter of a photographer. Jean de Florette (French pronunciation: ​[ʒɑ̃ də flɔʁɛt]) is a 1986 French period drama film directed by Claude Berri, based on a novel by Marcel Pagnol. It is followed by Manon des Sources. The film takes place in rural Provence, where two local farmers scheme to trick a newcomer out of his newly inherited property. The film starred three of France's most prominent actors – Gérard Depardieu, Daniel Auteuil, who won a BAFTA award for his performance, and Yves Montand in one of the last roles before his death.   The film was shot, together with Manon des Sources, over a period of seven months. At the time the most expensive French film ever made, it was a great commercial and critical success, both domestically and internationally, and was nominated for eight César awards, and ten BAFTAs. Le bonheur est dans le pré est un film français réalisé par Étienne Chatiliez sorti en 1995.   Chef d'entreprise à Dole, dans le Jura, Francis Bergeade n'a pas une vie réjouissante : tourmenté par les employées de son usine de sièges de toilettes qui menacent de faire grève régulièrement, en butte à un contrôle fiscal, tenu pour quantité négligeable par son épouse et par sa fille, symbole d'une bourgeoisie provinciale, qui ne songent qu'à faire des dépenses inconsidérées, il n'a comme joie dans la vie que les moments passés au restaurant « Le bon laboureur » avec son meilleur ami, Gérard, le concessionnaire automobile de Dole. Ce dernier l'appelle affectueusement « Lapin ».   Les tracas s'accumulent tant qu'il finit par en faire un malaise. Hospitalisé, c'est pendant sa convalescence que se produit l'imprévisible : une fermière et ses deux filles, venues de Condom, dans le Gers, participent à une émission de télévision pour retrouver leur mari et père, un certain Michel Thivart, disparu 26 ans plus tôt… Or, Michel Thivart est le sosie parfait de Francis ! Les Choses de la vie est un film français réalisé par Claude Sautet et sorti en 1970. Il s'agit d'une adaptation du roman du même nom Les Choses de la vie de Paul Guimard datant de 1967. Pierre (Michel Piccoli), architecte d'une quarantaine d'années, est victime d'un accident de voiture. Éjecté du véhicule, mortellement blessé et dans le coma, au bord de la route, il revoit son passé et les deux femmes qui comptent dans sa vie : Catherine (Lea Massari), dont il est séparé et avec qui il a eu un fils, et Hélène (Romy Schneider), avec qui sa relation amoureuse est à un tournant.   Pendant ce temps, il revoit sa vie en accéléré et réalise alors l'importance de ces multiples petites choses de l'existence, ces joies et ces peines qui constituent le bonheur de toute une vie. L'état de Pierre constitue la trame du film : sans aucune conscience de la mort qu'il est en train de rencontrer, et naïvement obsédé par sa "fatigue", son monologue intérieur tourne sans cesse autour de la nécessité de ne surtout pas laisser traîner une lettre qui donnerait un sens tout autre à son rapport aux autres.   Clasificación [ CM DVD 01003 ] Disponible en DVD, 4 Piso BJB)

Hôtel du Nord (Hotel del Norte) es un largometraje dirigido por el realizador francés Marcel Carné en 1938 y protagonizado por Annabella, Louis Jouvet, Arletty y Jean-Pierre Aumont. The Brain (French: Le Cerveau) is a 1969 French comedy film directed by Gérard Oury, about a second train robbery by the brains of the Great Train Robbery. Two clumsy French thieves, Anatole and Arthur, plan a spectacular heist: the attack of a freight train which carries from Paris to Brussels the secret funds of NATO. They do not know that another team is planning the same attack, the same one which performed the Glasgow-London Great Train Robbery; the team is headed by "The Brain" (David Niven), a British criminal mastermind whose massive brain is so heavy that, when he has a strong emotion, he cannot keep his head upright.
