La obra retrata la vida de Jesucristo (desde su nacimiento hasta su resurrección) tal como es narrada en el Evangelio de San Mateo. En 2015, L'Osservatore Romano la definió como la mejor película sobre Jesucristo. El diálogo está basado directamente del Evangelio de San Mateo y lo eligieron porque el Evangelio de San Juan era muy místico, el Evangelio de San Marcos demasiado vulgar y el Evangelio de San Lucas demasiado sentimental.​ Un ángel acaba de anunciar a José que su mujer María, una mujer virgen, está esperando el Hijo de Dios por obra del Espíritu Santo: Jesús. Daylight, titulada en castellano Pánico en el túnel en España y Luz del día en Venezuela, es una película de acción estrenada el 6 de diciembre de 1996 en Estados Unidos y el 10 de diciembre del mismo año en España. Protagonizada por Sylvester Stallone y Viggo Mortensen, dirigida por Rob Cohen. Unos camiones trasportan residuos tóxicos desde el norte de Nueva York hasta Nueva Jersey y deben pasar por el túnel Holland debajo del río Hudson. De repente tres ladrones entran en el túnel a toda velocidad y se estrellan contra el convoy de camiones haciendo que exploten, destruyendo todo el túnel y derrumbando la salida y la entrada, dejando un montón de heridos y muertos. En el túnel queda atrapado un grupo de personas, entre ellos un matrimonio y su hija, presos y un multimillonario. Las autoridades al ver el poco tiempo que queda y el poco aire deciden enviar al ex jefe del SME Kit Latura (Sylvester Stallone) para sacarlos de allí evitando explosiones, inundaciones, ratas y derrumbes. Plot In November,[4] a white, city-bred teenage schoolgirl and her much younger brother become stranded in the wilderness after their father goes berserk. After driving them far into the Australian outback, ostensibly for a picnic, the father suddenly begins shooting at the children. They run behind rocks for cover, whereupon he sets the car on fire and shoots himself in the head. The girl conceals what has happened from her brother and, after grabbing some food and supplies, the pair head out into the desert. By the middle of the next day, they are weak and the boy can barely walk. Discovering a small water hole with a fruiting tree, they spend the day playing, bathing, and resting. By the next morning, the water has dried up. They are then discovered by an Aboriginal boy. Although the girl cannot communicate with him, due to the language barrier, her brother mimes their need for water and the newcomer cheerfully shows them how to draw it from the drying bed of the oasis. The three travel together, with the Aboriginal boy sharing food he has caught hunting. The boys learn to communicate slightly using words and sign language. While in the vicinity of a plantation, a white woman walks past the Aboriginal, who simply ignores her when she speaks to him. She appears to see the other children, but they do not see her, and they continue on their journey. The children also discover a weather balloon belonging to a nearby research team working in the desert. After drawing markings of a modern-style house, the Aboriginal boy eventually leads them to an abandoned farm, and takes the other boy to a nearby road. The Aboriginal boy hunts down a water buffalo and is wrestling it to the ground when two white hunters appear in a truck and nearly run him over. Plot Part One: The Departure (November 1957) Madame Emery and her beautiful 17-year-old daughter Geneviève (Catherine Deneuve) have a tiny, struggling umbrella boutique in the coastal town of Cherbourg in Normandy, France. Guy (Nino Castelnuovo) is a handsome young auto mechanic who lives with and cares for his sickly aunt and godmother Elise. Though Geneviève's mother (Anne Vernon) disapproves, Guy and Geneviève are deeply in love; they plan to marry and name their first child "Françoise". At the same time Madeleine (Ellen Farner), a quiet young woman who looks after Guy's aunt, is secretly in love with Guy. Guy is drafted to serve in the Algerian War. The night before he leaves, he and Geneviève pledge their undying love and have sex, perhaps for the first time. Part Two: The Absence (January 1958 – April 1958) Geneviève learns she is pregnant and writes to Guy, but his replies are sporadic. Her mother tells her to give up on Guy – he has forgotten her. Geneviève is courted by Roland Cassard (Marc Michel), a kind, young, very wealthy Parisian jeweler; he wants to marry her despite her pregnancy. (In one of the connections among Demy's trilogy of films, Roland had previously unsuccessfully wooed the title character in the earlier Lola (1961); now he relates a version of this story to Madame Emery.) Madame Emery urges Geneviève to be sensible and choose a secure future with Roland. Geneviève marries Roland in a great cathedral, but she appears ambivalent about her decision. Part Three: The Return (March 1959 – December 1963) Returning injured from the war, Guy learns that Geneviève has married and left Cherbourg. He has difficulty readjusting to civilian life. After an argument with his boss he quits his job, goes drinking in a seedy bar, and spends the night with a prostitute. When he returns to his apartment, Madeleine tells him that his aunt Elise has died. Guy sees that Madeleine loves him, and he rebuilds his life with her help. Using the inheritance from his aunt he opens a new "American-style" gas station. The life of the renowned musical composer, playwright, actor, dancer, and singer George M. Cohan. Director: Michael Curtiz Writers: Robert Buckner (screen play), Edmund Joseph (screen play). Plot In the early days of World War II, Cohan comes out of retirement to star as President Roosevelt in the Rodgers and Hart musical I'd Rather Be Right. On the first night, he is summoned to meet the President at the White House, who presents him with a Congressional Gold Medal (in fact, this happened several years previously). Cohan is overcome and chats with Roosevelt, recalling his early days on the stage. The film flashes back to his supposed birth on July 4, whilst his father is performing on the vaudeville stage. Cohan and his sister join the family act as soon as they can learn to dance, and soon The Four Cohans are performing successfully. But George gets too cocky as he grows up and is blacklisted by theatrical producers for being troublesome. He leaves the act and hawks his songs unsuccessfully around to producers. In partnership with another struggling writer, Sam Harris, he finally interests a producer and they are on the road to success. He also marries Mary, a young singer/dancer. As his star ascends, he persuades his now struggling parents to join his act, eventually vesting some of his valuable theatrical properties in their name. Cohan retires, but returns to the stage several times, culminating in the role of the U.S. President. As he leaves the White House, after receiving the Congressional Gold Medal from the President, he performs a tap dance down a set of interior stairs (which Cagney thought up before the scene was filmed and performed with no rehearsal). Outside, he joins a military parade, where the soldiers are singing "Over There", and, at first, he isn't singing. Not knowing that Cohan is the song's composer, one of them asks if he knows the words.
