Tras otros siete años, Madeline, aunque es atractiva considerando su edad, es una mujer madura que está lejos de la gloria de su juventud, pero prefiere ignorarlo autoconvenciéndose que aún es la joven y atractiva muchacha de quien todos se enamoraban; por ello utiliza cada producto y tratamiento de belleza a su alcance. Ernest, abrumado por un matrimonio que detesta, desperdició su potencial como cirujano y perdió la firmeza de sus manos por culpa del alcohol, desempeñándose ahora como un conocido preparador de cadáveres, oficio que usa para abstraerse de una vida miserable con Madeline, quien lo humilla constantemente debido a su carácter débil y su mal estado físico, al punto que el tiempo que no está trabajando, lo pasa en casa sirviendo de objeto de burla de su esposa. Argumento Umberto D., un empleado del gobierno retirado, es uno de los participantes en una manifestación de jubilados que exigen un aumento de sus miserables pensiones. Cuando el grupo es dispersado por la policía, Umberto vuelve a la casa de huéspedes donde reside, solo para descubrir que la propietaria ha alquilado por una hora su habitación a una pareja, y que amenaza además con echarlo al final del mes si no es capaz de pagar las quince mil liras de alquiler atrasado que le debe. A pesar de que el anciano consigue un tercio de la cantidad vendiendo un reloj y varios libros, la casera no acepta el pago si no es la cantidad al completo. Ante estos problemas, Umberto cuenta con dos únicos apoyos, el de su perro Flike y el de la simpática y joven criada de la pensión, que acaba confiándole que está embarazada, pero que duda sobre cuál de dos soldados (uno de Nápoles y otro de Florencia) es el padre. Una noche, sintiéndose enfermo, el anciano llama al hospital, por lo que es ingresado y diagnosticado de anginas. Cuando es dado de alta a los pocos días y vuelve a su apartamento, descubre que este está en obras. La casera va a casarse, y la antigua habitación del anciano va a pasar a formar parte de la nueva sala de estar. Tras esto, Umberto descubre que su perro, el cual había dejado al cuidado de la sirvienta, huyó por una puerta que alguien dejó abierta. After a young woman suffers a brutal gang rape in a bar one night, a prosecutor assists in bringing the perpetrators to justice, including the ones who encouraged and cheered on the attack. Plot On April 18, 1987, at a bar, 24-years old working-class woman Sarah Tobias (Jodie Foster) is gang raped by several drunk bar patrons, while onlookers cheer them on. Assistant district attorney Kathryn Murphy (Kelly McGillis) is assigned to the rape case. Her superior instructs Murphy to offer a plea bargain with the rape defendants that requires some jail time. They make a plea bargain to charges of reckless endangerment, and are sentenced to prison. Sarah is enraged by the deal, as there is no acknowledgment on the record that the men raped her. Sarah rams a pickup truck after recognizing its driver as one of the patrons from the bar who had been cheering during the rape, and being outraged by his crude proposition of her. Her injuries require hospitalization. After this, Murphy decides to prosecute the men who cheered the rape for criminal solicitation. Sarah's friend Sally, a waitress at the bar where the rape took place, picks three men out of a line-up as those who encouraged the attackers. They get three different defense attorneys for the ensuing trial. Sarah testifies that she was raped. College student Kenneth Joyce (Bernie Coulson), a friend of one of the rapists, testifies to watching the rape before he made a 911 call to notify police. After Murphy's closing statement and a single summation from the three defense lawyers, the jury deliberates for a long time. They ask several times for Joyce's testimony to be reread to them. In the end, the jury convicts the three defendants. Struggling writer Émile Zola (Paul Muni) shares a drafty Paris attic with his friend, painter Paul Cézanne (Vladimir Sokoloff). A chance encounter with a street prostitute (Erin O'Brien-Moore) hiding from a police raid inspires his first bestseller, Nana, an exposé of the steamy underside of Parisian life. Other successful books follow. Zola becomes rich and famous; he marries Alexandrine (Gloria Holden) and settles down to a comfortable life in his mansion. One day, his old friend Cézanne, still poor and unknown, visits him before leaving the city, and tells Zola that with his success he has become complacent, a far cry from the zealous reformer of his youth. Meanwhile, a French secret agent steals a letter addressed to a military officer in the German embassy. The letter confirms there is a spy within the top French army staff. With little thought, the army commanders decide that Jewish Captain Alfred Dreyfus (Joseph Schildkraut) is the traitor, is courtmartialed and imprisoned on Devil's Island in then French Guiana. Later, Colonel Picquart (Henry O'Neill), the new chief of intelligence, discovers evidence implicating the spy as Major Walsin-Esterhazy (Robert Barrat), but he is ordered by his superiors to remain silent to avert official embarrassment and is quickly reassigned to a distant post. Years go by. Finally, Dreyfus's loyal wife Lucie (Gale Sondergaard) pleads with Zola to take up her husband's cause. Zola is reluctant to give up a comfortable life, but she brings forth new evidence to pique his curiosity. A letter is published in the newspaper accusing the army of covering up the monstrous injustice. An idiotic man struggles to make it through life on his own in St. Louis. Director: Carl Reiner Writers: Steve Martin (screenplay), Carl Gottlieb (screenplay). Stars: Steve Martin, Bernadette Peters, Catlin Adams. Plot Navin R. Johnson, a homeless man, directly addresses the camera and tells his story. He is the adopted white son of African American sharecroppers, who grows to adulthood naïvely unaware of his obvious adoption. He stands out in his family not just because of his skin color but because of his utter lack of rhythm when his adopted family plays spirited blues music. One night, he hears the staid Roger Wolfe Kahn Orchestra song called "Crazy Rhythm" on the radio and his feet spontaneously begin to move with the urge to dance; he sees this as a calling and decides to hitchhike to St. Louis, from where the song was broadcast. On the way, he stops at a motel, where a dog wakes him up by barking at his door. Navin thinks the dog is trying to warn of a fire. He wakes up the other hotel guests to rescue them, but everyone realizes it was a false alarm. Navin gets a job (and a place to sleep) at a gas station owned by Mr. Harry Hartounian. He is thrilled to find that he is listed in the local phone book, as his name is "in print" for the first time. Not long after, a gun-wielding lunatic randomly flips through the phone book and picks "Johnson, Navin R." as his next victim. As the madman watches through his rifle scope, waiting for a clear shot, Navin fixes the slippery glasses of a customer, Stan Fox, by adding a handle and a nose brake. Fox offers to split the profits 50/50 with Navin if he can market the invention, then departs. Seizing his chance, the crazed sniper shoots but misses. The lunatic chases Navin to a traveling carnival, where Navin hides out, eventually getting a job with SJM Fiesta Shows as a weight guesser. While employed there, Navin meets an intimidating daredevil biker named Patty Bernstein and has a sexual relationship with her, finally realizing what his "special purpose" (his mother's euphemism for his penis) is for. He then meets a woman named Marie and arranges a date with her. Patty confronts them, but Marie knocks her out. While courting, Navin and Marie walk along the beach and sing "Tonight You Belong to Me"; Navin plays the ukulele and Marie the cornet. Navin and Marie fall in love, but Marie reluctantly leaves him because of his lack of financial security. El título de la película hace referencia a la frase militar niebla de guerra, un concepto utilizado para describir el nivel de ambigüedad en conocimiento de la situación experimentada por los participantes en operaciones militares. El diálogo está basado directamente del Evangelio de San Mateo y lo eligieron porque el Evangelio de San Juan era muy místico, el Evangelio de San Marcos demasiado vulgar y el Evangelio de San Lucas demasiado sentimental.​ Un ángel acaba de anunciar a José que su mujer María, una mujer virgen, está esperando el Hijo de Dios por obra del Espíritu Santo: Jesús. Daylight, titulada en castellano Pánico en el túnel en España y Luz del día en Venezuela, es una película de acción estrenada el 6 de diciembre de 1996 en Estados Unidos y el 10 de diciembre del mismo año en España. Protagonizada por Sylvester Stallone y Viggo Mortensen, dirigida por Rob Cohen. Unos camiones trasportan residuos tóxicos desde el norte de Nueva York hasta Nueva Jersey y deben pasar por el túnel Holland debajo del río Hudson. De repente tres ladrones entran en el túnel a toda velocidad y se estrellan contra el convoy de camiones haciendo que exploten, destruyendo todo el túnel y derrumbando la salida y la entrada, dejando un montón de heridos y muertos. En el túnel queda atrapado un grupo de personas, entre ellos un matrimonio y su hija, presos y un multimillonario. Las autoridades al ver el poco tiempo que queda y el poco aire deciden enviar al ex jefe del SME Kit Latura (Sylvester Stallone) para sacarlos de allí evitando explosiones, inundaciones, ratas y derrumbes.
