Es una película francesa dramática de 1959, rodada en DyaliScope2​ y el debut del director François Truffaut. Está protagonizada por Jean-Pierre Léaud, Albert Rémy y Claire Maurier. Antoine Doinel es un adolescente parisino no especialmente querido por su familia. Su madre, que lo tuvo de soltera, tiene una conducta severa con él. Su padrastro, por su parte, hace lo posible por tolerarlo. La falta de atención de su familia hace de Doinel un alumno díscolo en el colegio, pero sus travesuras colman la paciencia de su profesor Sopruss. Un día, falta al colegio junto con su amigo René: Allí verá lo buena que es la vida fuera de la escuela, así como cruda y real -tras encontrar a su madre con un amante-. Esta huida del colegio hará que Antoine comience a meterse más en problemas, a tal punto que tras sacarse un cero en una composición en que prometió una buena nota a sus padres, se escapa con su amigo y hacen más travesuras. Un día, al intentar robar una máquina de escribir de la oficina de su padrastro, es descubierto y con el consentimiento de sus familiares, acabará en el reformatorio sin su mejor amigo, solo. Un pianiste de bar timide va connaître quelques démêlés avec de notoires gangsters alors que ces derniers s'en prennent à son frère. Dans cette adaptation du roman de Goodis, le roman policier est adapté avec humour et détachement : des gangsters plutôt sympathiques, prestation chaloupée et savoureuse de Boby Lapointe. Truffaut s'amuse avec le public et multiplie les surprises et digressions. Le thème central du film tourne autour des femmes. La plupart des personnages masculins du film ont une théorie sur la gent féminine du plus timide au plus grossier. Le thème de l'amour, très présent dans les films de Truffaut, prend dans ce film plusieurs aspects suggérés par plusieurs personnages de femmes. Plot Jesse Lujack (Richard Gere) is a cocky, nihilistic drifter in Las Vegas, obsessed with Marvel Silver Surfer comic books, the rock and roll music of Jerry Lee Lewis, and Monica Poiccard (Valérie Kaprisky), a UCLA architecture undergraduate whom he knows only from a weekend fling in Vegas. As the film opens late at night, he steals a Porsche, intending to drive to Los Angeles. As he speeds down the highway and looks through the owner's possessions, he discovers a handgun in the vehicle's glovebox. Seeing his reckless driving, a policeman gives chase and Jesse is forced off the road and becomes stuck. When the policeman orders him to step away from the car, Lujack impulsively grabs the gun and shoots the officer. Fleeing to Los Angeles, Lujack finds his picture splashed all over the newspaper and TV news as the "cop killer." On the run, under the alias of Jack Burns, he breaks into Monica's apartment and waits for her to return home. She discovers him naked in her bed. She initially declines his advances but later has sex with him in her shower. He then moves in with her. She is captivated by this reckless American and resumes her affair with him. A young soldier faces profound disillusionment in the soul-destroying horror of World War I. Director: Lewis Milestone Writers: Erich Maria Remarque (by), Maxwell Anderson (adaptation). Stars: Lew Ayres, Louis Wolheim, John Wray. Plot Professor Kantorek gives an impassioned speech about the glory of serving in the Army and "saving the Fatherland". On the brink of becoming men, the boys in his class, led by Paul Baumer, are moved to join the army as the new 2nd Company. Their romantic delusions are quickly broken during their brief but rigorous training under the abusive Corporal Himmelstoss, who bluntly informs them, "You're going to be soldiers—and that's all." The new soldiers arrive by train at the combat zone, which is mayhem, with soldiers everywhere, incoming shells, horse-drawn wagons racing about, and prolonged rain. One in the group is killed before the new recruits can reach their post, to the alarm of one of the new soldiers (Behn). The new soldiers are assigned to a unit composed of older soldiers, who are not exactly accommodating. The young soldiers find that there is no food available at the moment. They have not eaten since breakfast, but the men they have joined have not had food for two days. One of them, "Kat" Katczinsky, had gone to locate something to eat and he returns with a slaughtered hog he has stolen from a field kitchen. The young soldiers "pay" for their dinner with soaps and cigarettes. The new recruits' first trip to the trenches with the veterans, to re-string barbed wire, is a harrowing experience, especially when Behn is blinded by shrapnel and hysterically runs into machine-gun fire. After spending several days in a bunker under bombardment, they at last move into the trenches and successfully repulse an enemy attack; they then counterattack and take an enemy trench with heavy casualties, but have to abandon it. Pero, lo que parecía ser una vida de placer pronto se descubre que dicho mundo no es como él se imaginaba. El otro personaje, Rico "Ratso" Rizzo, es un timador tuberculoso que sueña con el dinero fácil. Incluso intenta timar a quien será su amigo de andanzas. Black Sunday is the powerful story of a Black September terrorist group attempting to blow up a Goodyear blimp hovering over the Super Bowl stadium with 80,000 people and the president of the United States in attendance. Plot Michael Lander is a pilot who flies the Goodyear Blimp over National Football League games to film them for network television. Secretly deranged by years of torture as a prisoner of war in Vietnam, he had a bitter court martial on his return and a failed marriage. He longs to commit suicide and to take with him as many as possible of the cheerful, carefree American civilians he sees from his blimp each weekend. Lander conspires with Dahlia Iyad, an operative from the Palestinian terrorist group Black September, to launch a suicide attack using a bomb composed of plastique and a quarter million steel flechettes, housed on the underside of the gondola of the blimp, which they will detonate over the Miami Orange Bowl during Super Bowl X. Dahlia and Black September, in turn, intend the attack as a wake-up call for the American people, to turn their attention and the world's to the plight of the Palestinians. American and Israeli intelligence, led by Mossad agent David Kabakov and Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Sam Corley, race to prevent the catastrophe. After discovering the recording Iyad made, meant to be played after the attack, they piece together the path of the explosives into the country, and Iyad's own movements. The bomb-carrying blimp is chased by police helicopters as it approaches the stadium. Kabakov kills Lander and Iyad, but not before Lander lights the fuse to the blimp's bomb.
